16/March/2026 - Car vs Tree - "C" Shift

An adult driver received non-life threatening injuries when a tree fell on the car in the 1800 block of Merrick Drive 16-March at 06:27. The vehicle was traveling south on the rural secondary road when the tree fell over, crossing the road and landing on his car. The car received heavy damage, but the driver was able to exit the vehicle. The tree blocked the entire two lane road and broke off a power pole causing the power lines to also fall into the road. Fire-Rescue units positioned north and south of the tree to alert other drivers of the hazard. Click here for additional information.
14/March/2026 - Ten Acre Woods Fire - "C" shift

Station #9 units responded to an approximately 10 acre woods fire in the 1500 block of Addison Road Saturday afternoon 14-March at 18:28. Firefighters arrived to the large incident and identified several structures that were endangered. Fire-Rescue units were positioned to protect the buildings and Forestry units were requested. The SC Forestry Commission responded with two tractors and a Ranger in a brush unit. Click here for additional information. 
13/March/2026 - Dog Attack with Air Evac - "A" Shift

An adult person was mauled by a pit bull at a residence in the 3600 block of Sniders Highway Friday morning 13-March at 02:18. Firefighter-Paramedics found the patient in the front yard of the residence with multiple severe injuries. The patient was treated at the scene, then transported emergent to the CARE Flight base in Walterboro with additional Firefighter-Paramedics onboard to assist with  care. The patient was transferred to the flight crew and flown to the Trauma Center at HCA Trident Hospital in North Charleston. Click here for additional information.
10/March/2026 - Structure Fire - "C" shift

A Ruffin family was displaced following a fire that heavily damaged their doublewide mobile home Tuesday morning 10-March. The fire was reported at 09:51 in the 700 block of Field Creek Road by a passing motorist. Engine 18 arrived to find the front the structure well involved, with heavy smoke conditions and flames running along the center of the roof line. Firefighter-Paramedics deployed multiple handlines to the building and quickly knocked down the fire on the front porch. They made entry into the structure through the front door. 07/March/2026 - Structure Fire - "A" Shift

A single story wood frame structure was destroyed when a grass fire spread to the building Saturday afternoon 07-March. 9-1-1 received several reports of the fire at 18:13. The abandoned building was close to the Hendersonville Baptist Church, endangering the sanctuary. The fire was spread by light winds and originated from several debris piles that were burning nearby. The property owner advised the home had been vacant for about three decades. The structure collapsed just prior to Engine 1 arriving at the scene. Click here for additional information.
06/March/2026 - Car Hauler Fire - "C" Shift

A 05:08 Friday morning 06-March, 9-1-1 received several reports of a car hauler on fire on Interstate 95 near the 55 mile marker southbound. Engine 1 arrived to find the trailer, containing six passenger cars, fully involved. Another semi-truck had the Interstate stopped to prevent traffic to reaching the intense fire. Engine 1 use the deck gun to knock down the flames, while Firefighter-Paramedics deployed multiple handlines to the fire. Click here for additional information.
05/March/2026 - Overturned Camper MVC - "C" Shift

Two people were injured when  the pickup truck their pickup and camper overturned I-95 at the 40 mile marker SB Thursday morning 05-March at 09:23. The vehicle lost control, causing the pickup truck and camper to drive down an embankment, turn backwards and overturn in the median. Both the truck and camper received heavy damage, with the camper being completely destroyed. Both occupants received multiple non-life threatening injuries. They were both treated at the scene by Firefighter-Paramedics. Click here for additional information.
05/March/2026 - MVC w/Critical Injuries - "C" Shift

A 21 yr old adult was critically injured when the suspected disabled vehicle was struck by another car on ACE Basin Parkway near Clover Hill Road Thursday afternoon 05-March at 15:33. The pickup truck which was pulling a trailer was stopped on the southbound edge of the busy highway. It appeared the injured was possibly under the trailer when it was struck. All three vehicles received heavy damage. The driver of the Lexus ran back to the trailer and pulled the patient from under the trailer. The driver then administered aid until Firefighter-Paramedics arrived. Click here for additional information.
