18/October/2025 - Rollover MVC with ejection - "A" Shift

An adult male was transported to the Trauma Center after being ejected from his pickup truck Saturday morning 18-October at 08:20. The truck was traveling east in the 500 block of Peniel Road when it dropped off of the shoulder and struck a mailbox. The driver overcorrected, crossed both lanes and entered the ditch on the westbound side of the road. The Silverado pickup truck flipped over three times and struck a pine tree approximately 10 feet off of the ground, before coming to rest upright. Click here for additional information.
14/October/2025 - Shooting Incident - "A" Shift

An adult male was injured in a shooting incident in the 500 block of Bee Street Tuesday evening 14-October at 22:16. The man received a gunshot wound to the arm which also broke his upper arm. Firefighter-Paramedics treated the man at the scene, then transported him to the Trauma Center at HCA Trident Hospital in North Charleston. The Colleton County Sheriff's Office is investigating the incident. Click here for additional information.
14/October/2025 - Train Collision with Log Truck - "A" Shift

A northbound Amtrak train collided with the loaded log truck at a private crossing on Weiss Lane Tuesday morning 14-October at 08:51. The log truck pulled into the path of the train and was struck at the rear of the trailer. The trailer received heavy damage and many of the logs were displaced and damaged, sending debris along the tracks and blocking the small dirt road. The train's Engine received substantial damage, but the train remained on the tracks and safety stopped about 1/3 of a mile north of the collision. Click here for additional information.
14/October/2025 - High Speed MVC - "C" Shift

A small sedan received heavy damage when it was struck in the rear by a semi-truck on I-95 near the 57 exit Tuesday morning 14-October at 00:28. A witness advised the car was traveling a low speed with no tail lights on the dark section of interstate when it was hit by the truck who was traveling highway speed. The car was pushed into the guardrail and spun around blocking one lane of travel. Firefighter-Paramedics found the driver unconscious in the car. Click here for additional information.
14/October/2025 - Colleton Hospital

The parent company of Colleton Medical Center has begun a new initiative with rebranding the organization. After 40 years of running Colleton County's only hospital, the parent company is adding their name to the signage and providing a new look to their hospitals. Colleton was the first in the region to be rebranded and will be called HCA Healthcare - Colleton Hospital. Trident received a similar change and is now HCA Healthcare Trident Hospital. 03/October/2025 - High Speed MVC with Entrapment - "B" Shift

A passenger car and log truck collided in the 11000 block of Charleston Hwy., east of Neyles Crossroads Friday afternoon 03-Oct at 12:46. The passenger in the Lexus car was trapped in the wreckage. Three people received injuries in the collision. Firefighter-Paramedics treated all of the patients on the scene. Crews used Holmatro Rescue Tools to extricate the passenger from the car. 02/October/2025 - Head-on MVC - "A" Shift

Three people were injured in a two vehicle head-on collision in the 200 block of Bent Gate Lane Thursday afternoon 02-October. At 17:05, Fire-Rescue was notified of the incident on the rural dirt road just off of Sunrise Road near the Springtown Community. One patient suffered serious injuries and was transported by Fire-Rescue Medic 7 to the Trauma Center at HCA Trident Hospital in North Charleston. Click here for additional information.
01/October/2025 - MVC with Air Evacuation

An adult female suffered critical, multi-trauma injuries in a single car MVC in the 6100 block of Combahee Road Wednesday morning 01-October at 10:24. A passerby reported the accident on the remote rural secondary road. The small sedan left the roadway and struck a tree at a high rate of speed. The driver was unrestrained. Firefighter-Paramedics found the woman unresponsive with multiple traumatic injuries. Click here for additional information.
