Incident # 25-07772 - A passenger car and log truck collided in the 11000 block of Charleston Hwy., east of Neyles Crossroads Friday afternoon 03-Oct at 12:46. The passenger in the Lexus car was trapped in the wreckage. Three people received injuries in the collision. Firefighter-Paramedics treated all of the patients on the scene. Crews used Holmatro Rescue Tools to extricate the passenger from the car. The adult female and the adult male driver were transported emergent to the Trauma Center at MUSC by Fire-Rescue Medic 6. Medic 19 transported the driver of the log truck who suffered non-life threatening injuries to HCA Colleton Hospital. Charleston Hwy was blocked for over an hour. The SC Highway Patrol is investigating the MVC.
Engine 6, Medic 6, Medic 19, Rescue 1, Battalion 1, Car 105, Car 105 and Car 112 responded. Captain KC Campbell served as Incident Commander.
