Incident # 25-07758 - Three people were injured in a two vehicle head-on collision in the 200 block of Bent Gate Lane Thursday afternoon 02-October. At 17:05, Fire-Rescue was notified of the incident on the rural dirt road just off of Sunrise Road near the Springtown Community. One patient suffered serious injuries and was transported by Fire-Rescue Medic 7 to the Trauma Center at HCA Trident Hospital in North Charleston. One patient was transported to HCA Colleton Hospital in Walterboro by Medic 18 with non-life threatening injuries. The third patient did not require ambulance transport. The SC Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
Engine 18, Medic 7, Medic 18 and Battalion 1 responded. Battalion Chief Scott O'Quinn served as incident Commander.
