27/September/2025 - Auto vs Bicycle w Air Evac - "B" Shift An adult male was seriously injured after he was struck by a car on Green Pond Hwy at the intersection of Beachwood Rd Saturday evening 27-September at 19:24. Witnesses advised the man was riding a dark colored bicycle eastbound on Beachwood Rd and failed to stop at the stop sign at Green Pond Hwy. He entered the path of a southbound sedan and was struck by the car. The man suffered multiple traumatic injuries, including several fractures. He was treated at the scene by Firefighter-Paramedics, then transported emergent to the CARE Flight base to meet with the medical helicopter. Click here for additional information. |

26/September/2025 - Monitoring Invest 94L Colleton County Fire-Rescue's Emergency Management Division, Colleton County Administration and other local officials have been meeting throughout the week monitoring the potential development of Invest 94L and the potential impacts. There is a lot of uncertainty in the track of Invest 94L; however, emergency officials are encouraging all residents to use the weekend to prepare in the event we have a landfall near Colleton County. 24/September/2025 - Structure Fire - "B" Shift At 09:17, Wednesday morning 24-September, a passing motorist reported a residential structure fire in the 8300 block of Augusta Hwy. at Can City Road. Engine 17 arrived about 5 minutes later to find a single story residential wood frame structure with heavy smoke visible from all sides. Flames were venting from the side windows. Firefighter-Paramedics forced the front door and advanced a single handline into the structure. They quickly knocked down the flames in a back bedroom. The fire had already breached the attic space. 18/September/2025 - Structure Fire - "A" Shift Smoke alarms are being credited with saving two people from an early morning structure fire that occurred Thursday 18-Sept at 03:27. The occupants of a home in the 300 block of Pine Needle Road were awakened by the smoke alarms and were able to escape the home. They noted the home was filling with smoke and they could feel the heat from the fire in the attic. As they ran from the residence they saw the roof was in flames. The couple ran to several neighbors homes before they could wake someone to notify 9-1-1. A Sheriff's Deputy on patrol in the neighborhood drove up on the fire minutes later.Click here for additional information. |

13/September/2025 - Fatal MVC with Entrapment - "B" Shift An adult female sadly perished in a head-on collision on Lowcountry Hwy. (US Hwy 21) near Catkin Ln approx. 1-1/2 miles north of I-95 Saturday morning 13-Sept. at 04:18. A southbound Dodge pickup truck crossed into the northbound lane and struck a tractor trailer head-on. The semi-truck drove off of the right shoulder attempting to avoid the crash. The truck driver suffered non-life threatening injuries. The pickup truck driver was unrestrained and heavily entrapped in the wreckage. Click here for additional information. |

11/September/2025 - Structure Fire - "A" Shift Fire-Rescue responded to a structure fire in the 400 block of Cumberland Street Thursday afternoon 11-Sept. At 15:06, the occupant returned home from picking her children up from school and found the home on fire. Engine 1 arrived to find the doublewide mobile home with heavy smoke showing from all sides of the building. The occupant advised there were several animals inside the building. Firefighters made entry through the front door and discovered two deceased canines in cages near the front door. They pulled the animals from the home, but they were beyond help. 04/September/2025 - Camper Fire - "C" Shift At 10:04, Thursday morning 04-Sept, Fire-Rescue units were dispatched to the 400 block of Locklair Ln for a camper fire. The camper was used as a residence. Engine 19 arrived to find the small camper fully involved and partially collapsed. Crews deployed one handline to extinguish the fire. The camper and all of the contents were destroyed. No injuries were reported during the incident. The fire was reportedly intentionally set. The cause is under investigation. 02/September/2025 - Fatal MVC with Entrapment - "A" Shift A Colleton County teenager was tragically killed and two other people were injured in a two vehicle MVC in the 600 block of White Hall Road Tuesday evening 02-September. The accident was reported at 18:02. A southbound Honda, driven by a 15 year old male, dropped off of the shoulder and over-corrected. The small car slid sideways, crossed into the northbound lane where it was struck in the passenger's side by a northbound Dodge truck. The two vehicles went off of the northbound shoulder and struck a large pine tree. Click here for more information. |
