Colleton County Fire-Rescue's TRT operates two bicycles that are equipped with basic life support supplies, oxygen, intravenous fluids, and an automatic external defibrilator.  

Operations

TRT deploys these bikes anytime an event is held where there will be limited access to motorized vehicles.  The bikes can typically arrive much sooner than the ambulance assigned and can begin treatment.  Examples of the type of events where the bikes are utilized are:

• The annual Colleton County Rice Festival -- www.ricefestival.org

• The annual Bicycle Consortium race

• Marathons 

• Parades

• Football Games
