29/August/2026 - High Speed MVC with ejection - "A" Shift


Incident # 26-07320 - Two people were injured in a high speed, single vehicle MVC on Interstate 95 near the 50 mile marker southbound, Saturday afternoon 29-Aug at 15:48. The southbound pickup truck left the roadway, overcorrected and rolled over at least once. The unrestrained driver was ejected from the truck and thrown approximately 30 feet. The driver suffered multiple critical injuries. The restrained  passenger received non-life-threatening injuries. A small dog was also in the truck and did not appear to be injured. Firefighter-Paramedics worked to stabilize the driver at the scene. No medical helicopters could fly due to severe thunderstorms. Both patients were transported emergent to the Trauma Center at HCA Trident Hospital in North Charleston by Fire-Rescue Medic 1. Two additional Firefighter-Paramedics assisted during transport. The SC Highway Patrol is investigating the MVC. The Sheriff's Office assisted at the scene. 


Engine 1, Medic 1, Medic 26 and Battalion 1 responded. Captain Brian Eadon served as Incident Commander.
