13/July/2026 – Structure Fire – “B” Shift


Incident # 26-05896 – At 19:24, Monday evening 13-July, Fire-Rescue was notified of a kitchen fire at a residence in the 300 block of Lafayette Lane. The caller advised that they believed the fire was out. Engine 19 arrived six minutes later to find heavy smoke conditions coming from the doublewide mobile home and smoke coming from the eaves on all sides of the building. All of the occupants had safely exited the building. Firefighter-Paramedics deployed one handline to the building and entered through the front door, locating the fire in the kitchen. The fire had spread to a wall and the cabinets. Crews were able to quickly knock down the flames. Interior crews began to overhaul the kitchen, pulling a portion of the ceiling and removing the cabinets, so they could completely extinguish the fire. The fire had not spread into attic space. Fire units were on the scene for approximately an hour. The home and its contents were saved; however, the house did receive smoke damage.


Engine 19, Engine 26, Tender 1, Tender 5, Tender 19, Tender 26, Medic 19, Medic 26, Battalion 1 and Car 118 responded. Battalion Chief Matt Smart served as incident Commander.
