07/July/2026 - Structure Fire - "A" Shift


Incident # 26-5658 - An unattended trash fire spread to a storage building, wooden wheel chair ramp, a residence and started a woods fire in the 3300 block of St. Peters Road Tuesday 07-July at 14:17. Engine 19 arrived to find the fully involved storage building and fire endangering the residence. The incident was originally dispatched as a grass fire. Crews deployed two handlines and requested a structural response bringing additional resources and personnel to the scene. Firefighter-Paramedics knocked down the fire on the home and the wooden wheel chair ramp, then work to extinguish the remains of the storage building which had collapsed. Other personnel extinguished the woods fire behind the home. No one was home when the fire occurred and damage to the home was minor. The storage building and its contents were destroyed. Units were on the scene for approximately one hour. 


Engine 19, Engine 27, Tender 6, Tender 19, Tender 27, Medic 6, Medic 19, Brush 6, Brush 27 and Battalion 1 responded. Lt. Shane Weber served as Incident Commander.
