03/January/2026 - Structure Fire - "A" Shift Incident # 26-00105 - A passing motorist reported a building fire at the intersection of Hendersonville Hwy (US Hwy 17-A) and Ritter Road Saturday evening 03-January at 19:09. Engine 1 arrived to find the single story building well involved. It was located well off of the road. The building was an addition to an older camper. No one was at home when the fire occurred. Firefighters deployed two handlines to the building and entered the structure through the front door. The roof had already burned off most of the addition and already gutted the interior of the camper. Crews worked for approximately 20 minutes to extinguish the fire and were on the scene for two hours performing overhaul. Water supply was conducted using Tenders.
