Incident # 25-025-09253 - An adult female was injured in a reported driveby shooting incident in the 200 block of Strawberry Farm Rd in the Johnsville Community north of the Town of Smoaks, Thursday morning 20-November at 01:59. The assailants shot the mobile home multiple times from the roadway. One round struck a young woman in the head. Sheriff's Deputies arrived at the location quickly and secured the scene. Firefighter-Paramedics treated the woman at the scene and requested a medical helicopter. Fire-Rescue Medic 7 transported the woman to a field in Smoaks to meet with the CARE Flight helicopter. She was transferred to the Flight Crew, then flown to the Trauma Center at HCA Trident Hospital in North Charleston. The Colleton County Sheriff's Office is investigating the incident.
Engine 7, Medic 7, Battalion 1, Car 111 and Car 118 responded. Commissioner David Sauls served as Incident Commander.
