15/November/2025 - Shooting Incident - "B" Shift
Incident # 25-09111 - An adult female was injured in a hunting accident near the Town of Smoaks Saturday morning 15-November. At 07:49 9-1-1 received the report of the woman who was shot in the face and arm with buckshot and she was being driven to Fire-Rescue Station # 7 in Smoaks. Firefighter-Paramedics reported minutes later that the patient had arrived. They began treating her in Medic 7 and requested a medical helicopter. A medical helicopter from Orangeburg responded and landed in a nearby field. The patient was transferred to the Flightcrew, then flown to the Trauma Center at HCA Trident Hospital in North Charleston. The Colleton County Sheriff's Office and SCDNR are investigating the accident. Engine 7, Medic 7, Car 111 and Car 118 responded. Commissioner David Sauls served as Incident Commander. |
