Incident # 25-03983 - An outdoor storage building was destroyed and a mobile home damaged Monday evening 19-May at 16796 Sniders Hwy. (SC Hwy 63) in the Islandton Community. 9-1-1 was notified of the storage building fire at 19:06. Engine 15 arrived to find the small wood frame structure fully involved and had already collapsed. The heat from the fire damaged a nearby mobile home and utility trailer. Firefighters deployed two handlines, protected and cooled the mobile home, then extinguished the remains of the storage building. No one was injured in the incident. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Engine 15, Engine 18, Tender 13, Tender 15, Tender 18, Tender 23, Medic 13 and Battalion 1 responded. Captain Matthew Owens Williams Jr. served as Incident Commander.
