Incident # 24-02786 - An adult female was injured in a shooting incident at 100 Sniders Hwy, Colleton Heights Apartments, Wednesday afternoon 10-April. The incident was reported to 9-1-1 at 12:06. The woman received an injury to the neck and was treated at the scene by Firefighter-Paramedics. She was transported in Fire-Rescue Medic 26 to the helipad at Colleton Medical Center to meet with CARE Flight. The patient was transferred to the Flight Crew, then flown to a Trauma Center in Charleston. Sheriff's Deputies apprehended the suspect a short time later. The incident is being investigated by the Walterboro Police Dept.
Medic 26, Battalion 1 and Car 118 responded. Battalion Chief Scott O'Quinn served as Incident Commander.
