06/October/2023 - Shooting Incident - "C" Shift

Incident # 23-07583 - At 21:16  an 18 year old male received a life threatening gunshot wound in an incident near Ramsey Hill Road Friday evening 06-October. Sheriff's Deputies were sent to a residence near the end of Ramsey Hill Road after several hang up calls were made to 9-1-1. Upon arrival they found an 18 yr. old male lying in the yard with a single gunshot wound to the abdomen. They immediately requested Firefighter-Paramedics to respond. Fire-Rescue crews found the male in critical condition and began treating his injuries, which included medications and the administration of whole blood. The patient's condition improved and he was transported by Fire-Rescue Medic 26 to a nearby field to meet with the Meducare helicopter. He was flown to a Trauma Center in the Charleston area. The Colleton County Sheriff's Office is investigating the incident.
