13/September/2022 - Structure Fire - "B" Shift

Incident # 22-07125 - A singlewide mobile home was destroyed in a midday fire on Smoak Rd at the intersection of Our Dream Lane. 9-1-1 was notified by a passerby at 11:51 that the building was well involved. Engine 19 arrived to find the fully involved structure. Engine 19 used the deck gun to knock down the heavy fire, while Firefighter-Paramedics deployed two handlines to the building. Crews had the bulk of the fire knocked down within 15 minutes, but were on the scene for two hours performing overhaul. Law Enforcement advised a man had been living in the building, but no one was found to be at home. The fire did spread to nearby woods, but the woods fire was quickly extinguished. No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation. 

Engine 1, Engine 19, Tender 1, Tender 19, Tender 26, Tender 27, Medic 1, Medic 19, Battalion 1, Car 107, Car 112 and Car 118 responded. Battalion Chief Michael Banks served as Incident Commander.
