15/April/2022 - Residential Camper Fire - "C" Shift

Incident # 22-02830 - Fire-Rescue responded to a camper used as a residence Friday morning 15-April at 05:17. The owner reportedly turned on the roof mounted air conditioning unit the night before and noticed smoke coming from the camper and flames on the roof when he was preparing to leave the following morning. Engine 7 arrived to find smoke coming from the camper and deployed one 1-3/4 handline. The fire was quickly knocked down, saving the camper. The fire started in the roof mounted A/C unit and burned through the unit, dropping to the floor, igniting the interior. The inside suffered heat and smoke damage. No injuries were reported. Fire units were on the scene for two hours. 

Engine 7, Engine 26, Tender 5, Tender 7, Tender 26 , Medic 7, Medic 26  and Battalion 1 responded. Firefighter-EMT Bryon Perry served as Incident Commander.
