04/March/2022 - Structure Fire - "A" Shift

Incident # 22-01669 - A large outside storage building, a camper, two passenger cars and a motorcycle were destroyed in an afternoon fire at 109 Hardee Circle east of Walterboro Friday 04-March. A mobile home was damaged, as well as a storage building, a second camper and two mopeds on the adjacent property. A passing motorist alerted the homeowner to the fire, who then called 9-1-1. The fire is believed to have started in the storage building and spread to the camper and vehicles. Firefighter-Paramedics deployed multiple handlines to combat the fires on both properties. Crews had the fire under control in about 25 minutes, but were on the scene for two hours performing overhaul. 

Engine 1, Engine 19, Engine 24, Tender 1, Tender 19, Tender 26, Tender 27, Medic 1, Medic 7, Medic 19, Battalion 1, Car 103, Car 107, Car 112 and Car 118 responded. Battalion Chief Scott O'Quinn served as Incident Commander.
