Incident # 21-09144 - An 81 year old Colleton County man died from injuries received in a single vehicle MVC in the 1600 block of Penny Creek Road Thursday 23-December. The car was seen partially submerged in a pond and reported to 9-1-1 at 07:41. Colleton County Fire-Rescue and Sheriff's Deputies responded to the location to find the vehicle upright in the pond, with only the lift gate and part of the roof visible. It was below the roadway grade and difficult to see from the road. A family member had jumped in the water and broken the liftgate window, but was unable to access the interior.
