06/December/2021 - Structure Fire - "C" Shift

Incident # 21-08753 - A Johnsville family was displaced after a mid-afternoon fire damaged their home in the 100 block of Strawberry Farm Rd north of the Town of Smoaks. 9-1-1 received the report of the fire at 14:34 advising of a fire in a bedroom. All occupants were able to safely exit the building. Engine 7 arrived to find the doublewide mobile home with flames coming from several windows on the front and rear of the structure. Firefighter-Paramedics made an aggressive attack on  the fire and quickly knocked the flames. The interior of the mobile home suffered heavy damage. The fire is believed to have started from a candle in the bedroom. This was the second structure fire within two hours that was started from a candle. Fire units were on the scene for 2-1/2 hours. The Red Cross is assisting the family. 

Engine 7, Engine 26, Tender 5, Tender 7, Tender 17, Tender 26, Medic 7, Medic 18, Battalion 1 and Car 102 responded. Battalion Chief Brent Dalton served as Incident Commander.
