06/December/2021 - Structure Fire - "C" Shift

Incident # 21-08748 - A Brittlebank Road family was displaced following a fire that heavily damaged their home Monday afternoon 06-December at 13:00. Fire-Rescue units arrived to the 1400 block to find the single wide mobile home with heavy fire showing from the northside of the building. Firefighter-Paramedics made entry through the front door and quickly had the fire under control. The fire was contained to the north end of the building. All of the occupants had safely exited the building The fire started in a bedroom, most likely from a candle. The fire burned from the bedroom into the void space above the rooms and damaged the adjacent rooms. Firefighters kept the fire from advancing to the south end of the structure and saved many of the family's belongings. The remainder of the home suffered smoke damage. The Red Cross is assisting the family. 

Engine 1, Engine 19, Tender 1, Tender 19, Tender 26, Tender 27, Medic 1, Medic 19, Battalion 1, Car 112 and Car 119 responded. Battalion Chief Chris Jones served as Incident Commander.
