02/September/2020 – Motorcycle MVC with Air Evac – “B” Shift 

Incident # 20-06036 – A 43 year old Walterboro man suffered multiple injuries after his motorcycle collided with a car at the intersection of Sniders Hwy and Beach Road Wednesday evening 03-Sept at 21:49. The man was not wearing a helmet and also received a head injury. He was found on the roadway. The motorcycle received heavy damage. No one was injured in the car which drove several blocks south on Sniders Hwy. before stopping. The occupant in the car advised the driver fled the scene. Firefighter-Paramedics treated the motorcycle driver at the scene and placed the CARE Flight helicopter on standby. He was transported emergent to the helipad at Colleton Medical Center, then flown to the Trauma Center at Trident Hospital by CARE Flight. WPD is investigating the crash.

Medic 1, Battalion 1, Car 112 and Car 118 responded. WFD also responded. Battalion Chief Brent Dalton served as Incident Commander.
