09-June-2020 – Moped MVC with Air Evac – “A” Shift

Incident # 20-03801 – A 41 yr. old Walterboro man was injured in a reported hit and run MVC in the 1200 block of Burlington Road Tuesday evening 09-June at 21:25. The man advised he was riding his moped on Burlington Road when he was struck by a car. The car did not stop and left the scene. The man was found with multiple traumatic injuries lying in the roadway. Firefighter-Paramedics treated him at the scene and placed a medical helicopter on standby. He was transported emergent to the helipad at Colleton Medical Center, then transferred to the Flight Crew of CARE Flight and flown to the Trauma Center at Trident Medical Center in North Charleston. The SC Hwy Patrol is investigating the accident.
