27/Aug/2019 – Shooting Incident – “A” Shift 

Incident # 19-05971 – A reported drive-by shooting into a home occurred in the 1700 block of White Hall Rd at 00:00 (mid-night) Tuesday 27-August. One bullet struck a 1 year old boy in the thigh as he slept in the residence. Fortunately no one else was injured. Sheriff’s Deputies quickly secured the scene and Firefighter-Paramedics rapidly assessed the child. He was transported emergent in Fire-Rescue Medic 13 to meet with the CARE Flight medical helicopter, then flown to the Pediatric Trauma Center at MUSC in Charleston. The child was in stable condition. The Colleton County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident.

Engine 1, Medic 13, Battalion 1 and Car 112 responded. Battalion Chief Scott O’Quinn served as Incident Commander.
