26/February/2018 – Single Car MVC – “C” Shift 

Incident # 18-01400 – Five men were injured after a pickup truck towing a construction trailer left the roadway in the 5700 block of Lowcountry Hwy (US Hwy 21) Monday morning 26-February. The accident was reported to 9-1-1 at 06:26. The accident reportedly occurred after the driver tried to avoid a deer. The truck drove down an embankment and struck several trees before rolling over on its side. A rear passenger was partially ejected in the crash. All five men were transported by Fire-Rescue to Colleton Medical Center. None of their injuries were thought to be life threatening. The SC Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.  

Engine 1, Engine 8, Medic 1, Medic 13, Medic 18, Battalion 1, Car 105 and Car 112 responded. Battalion Chief Brent Dalton served as incident Commander.
