This is the fourth fatal accident to occur in Colleton County since the beginning of the new year. At 02:36, a truck driver discovered the over-turned 2000 Mercury passenger car off the roadway near the wood line. The car received heavy damage. A portion of Lowcountry Highway was blocked for an hour during the accident investigation. The SC Highway Patrol was the investigating agency.
