Colleton County Fire-Rescue

09/06/2017

Colleton County Fire-Rescue has been monitoring the Hurricane Irma storm track and intensity for several days.  We have begun to implement preparatory operations such as sharpening chain saws, insuring station generators and apparatus are fully fueled, as well as developing plans for damage assessments and increases in staffing if necessary.  We are also participating in local and state Emergency Management planning calls to insure that sufficient resources are pre-positioned to best serve our citizens.

Given the State of Emergency declared by Governor McMaster earlier today, we urge all Colleton County citizens to closely monitor local news outlets and weather updates.
