02/April/2017 – MVC with Ejection – “C” Shift

Incident # 17-02194 – A Colleton County man was critically injured in a single car MVC on Ritter Road at the intersection of Blue House Lane. The east bound Jeep Grand Cherokee left the roadway, over corrected and ran through the front yard of a home located on the corner, before overturning several times. The unrestrained driver was ejected from the Jeep and found semi-conscious lying in a field near the overturned Jeep. Firefighter-Paramedics treated the man at the scene, then transported him emergent to the Trauma Center at MUSC in Charleston. No other persons were in the car. The SC Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.

Engine 8, Medic 13, Battalion 1, Car 109 and Car 118 responded. Battalion Chief Scott O’Quinn served as Incident Commander.
