15/January/2016 – Shooting Incident – “B” shift

Incident # 16-00270 – A 33 year old man was in critical condition after he was shot twice in the back during a reported domestic dispute in the 600 block of Stokes Road Friday afternoon 15-Janaury at 14:22. Sheriff’s Deputies arrived quickly, took a subject into custody, then cleared the scene for Fire-Rescue. The man was located inside the mobile home. Firefighter-Paramedics rapidly assessed and began treating the patient. A medical helicopter was requested, but denied the flight due to poor weather conditions. The patient was immobilized on the scene and rapidly transported to the Trauma Center at Trident Medical Center by Fire-Rescue. Additional Firefighter-Paramedics were on board Medic 26 to assist with patient care. He was taken to emergency surgery shortly after arriving at Trident.  The Sheriff’s Office is investigating.  

Engine 26, Medic 26, Car 12, Car 105 and Car 110 responded. Deputy Chief David Greene served as Incident Commander.
