Incident # 15-01906 – A 23 year old female received a life threatening gunshot wound in a shooting incident at 1014 Carn Street. Twenty six minutes after another shooting incident occurred on Jared Road, Fire-Rescue and Walterboro Police were dispatched to the corner of Carn and Gerideau Streets for multiple shots being fired. The patient was placed in Medic 19, then transported to the airport. She was transferred to the Meducare flight crew and flown to the Trauma Center at MUSC in Charleston. City Police units arrived on the scene quickly and chased the fleeing suspect’s vehicle about 17 miles into the county.
