05/30/2012 – Stabbing Incident – “C” Shift

Incident # 12-02898 - A 53 year old man received life threatening stab wounds to the back in an altercation that occurred Wednesday evening 30-May. The incident was reported at the corner of Proctor and Rivers Streets at 23:08. Sheriff’s Deputies found the man lying in a yard at 515 Rivers Street several hundred yards south of the intersection. Firefighter-Paramedics quickly treated the man at the scene, then transported him to Colleton Medical Center. He was stabilized in the ED, and admitted to the ICU. The Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident.

Medic 1, Battalion 1, Car 12 and Car 118 responded. Battalion Chief Dan Barb served as Incident Commander.
