Stations 15,10,31, and 23 responded to a structure fire at 1189 Rum Gully Road in Islandton, Wednesday, April 8, 2009 at 13:05 hours.  Engine 15 arrived in five minutes to find a double wide mobile home with a working fire inside.  There were no occupants.  Two 1-3/4" handlines were deployed and an interior attack was initiated.  Firefighters quickly brought the fire under control but the fire had spread vertically to the attic space and laterally through the mobile home requiring extensive overhaul.  Firefighters were able to salvage many of the structure's contents however.  There were no injuries.  The fire was caused by an unattended pot on the stove.

Engine 15, Tender 18, Medic 18, Tender 23, Engine 31, Truck 11, Truck 111 and Battalion 1 responded.  Firefighter/Paramedic Janet Laney was the Incident Commander.
