29/October/2018 – Fall Injury with Air Evac – “C” Shift 

Incident # 18-07532 – An adult male received life threatening injuries after he fell one story from some scaffolding while working on a roof. The incident occurred Monday afternoon 29-October in the 300 block of Live Oak Street at approx. 14:03. A family member found the man unconscious and called 9-1-1. Firefighter-Paramedics arrived a short time later. The man had regained consciousness but suffered multiple traumatic injuries. Crews treated the man at the scene, then transported him emergent to the helipad at Colleton Medical Center. He was transferred to the Flight Crew of C.A.R.E. Flight and flown to the Trauma Center at Trident Hospital in North Charleston.  

Engine 19, Engine 27, Medic 19, Medic 26, Battalion 1, Car 104, Car 112, Car 118 and C.A.R.E. Flight responded. Battalion Chief Chris Jones served as Incident Commander.
