12/November/2017 – Veterans Day Parade – “A” Shift 

The Colleton County Veterans Council sponsored the annual Veterans Day Parade Sunday 12-November. This year, the group honored all First Responders as the Grand Marshals for the parade. They provided a float for First Responders which had representatives from Law Enforcement and Fire-Rescue. The parade began at the Old Hampton Street School and followed a route through downtown Walterboro. Veterans from all branches of the military, the Band of Blue,  Fire-Rescue, Walterboro Fire Dept., and local government leaders participated in the event. Sparky the Fire Dog (Joslyn Merideth) escorted the Fire Apparatus and entertained those watching the parade.
